There is still the problem that material names do not correspond to texturefile names. It is impossible to assign textures to material in OBJ file with hundreds of files. If I import in gltf then textures have different names than original. Oh and the normal files are not there. Well, 5 years ago it worked better. You may should use the script you had five years ago.
