Hey, sorry if this has already been asked and i have not yet found the Forum entry..
Before i got here i have used the Dagor Asset Explorer and got a few models that worked.
Now i am trying to play around with all the new additional models, but i have noticed that they seem pretty low poly.
Comapring the 262 i got from Dagor Asset Explorer to the one available here its pretty low poly.
I use .OBJ to import into blender. Any fix that i can do to fix this?

Hmm, you are not the first to raise this issue.
The models on the site have maximum detail. They are assembled directly from the game files. And are saved "as is", in the same quality. Visually, in the 3D editor and on the site, the models look different, because the site uses anti-aliasing to improve the appearance.
Perhaps I am mistaken somewhere. I would like to compare the files you receive and those on the site. Could you contact me by e-mail to discuss this issue.

Yes sure! Ill grab fresh ones just for that. I assume its the same one i used to "request" and/or send my payment details?

I have just tested a few more models from Enlisted, WoT and WoWS and its the same there. Either its the .OBJ format, blender not liking the models or something else :/

So i think i have found the issue. It has to be the way the .OBJ files work. i have now tried .GLB files and they import with maximum quality.
Also, .STL files do import with the same "low-poly" quality as .OBJ do.

I think glb preserves antialiasing and models in the editor are prettier. You need to compare the number of vertices and faces. They should be the same in either obj or glb.
vertices faces
STL 66104 115261
OBJ 120665 115263
GLB 120665 115263
As you can see, STL merges vertices (and repeating faces?) to avoid holes when printing. But the number of vertices and triangle faces is the same for OBJ and GLB.

I found the fix i was looking for....
In blender i just: select all -> right click -> shade smooth
That was the issue i was facing :D
Also, is there any way to get geometry LODs for vehicles if available?
Would help out the implementation of the models by like 10x

There are no plans to use LOD at the moment.
