Has anyone ever grabbed the islands, terrain, wrecks etc. from World of Warships

It would be really useful terrain for various wargames. It's actually pretty tough to find decent models of islands, port areas, wrecked ships and so forth.

You can extract the models normally. Unlike vehicle models they don't need assembling, but are low quality.

You need WOWSUnpackTool and 3DConverter. With WOWSUnpackTool you unpack all you need from the res tree and with 3DConverter you convert the WoWS files into something every one can understand, like OBJ. Its a bit tricky to put the right maps to the models but with a growing experience you do it.

Okay thanks. I've never done extraction from a game, but I can give it a try!

Hi! It's not that hard! Models will be in the format .primitive. You can convert it to .obj or any other format you need using 3D converter and upload it to any 3D editor.

Should not the format of the newest WOWS be changed? If so you should do it with the current version as early as possible, bevore they put the new version for download, before we know what has changed.

Yeah they changed the format, it's not primitives anymore.
